Garage Band Song

Last week for music we had to make a song, in  a group on garage band. I was in a group with Tasharn and Shane. We made a country/ pop song but mostly me and Tasharn did most of the work. The ASMR sound we used was the guitar. We used Guitar, Drums and another instrument, can you guess what it was. If you did leave a comment and we will see if you got it right.

Music Hurumanu

ASMR

Today for music we had to watch two ASMR videos. ASMR is either satisfying or disgusting. We watched both types of AMSR and most people liked the satisfying version better than the disgusting one. Here are some questions we had to answer.

1. Have you heard of ASMR before?
Yes I think on youtube.

2.What did you feel when you listened to the ASMR music?
I felt very tingly like when you have pins and needles.

3. Is this something you would like to try making?
Yes, because it would sound very satisfying.

Adele Research

Today for music me and Ashton finished of our biography slides. So what we had to do was chose a artist and watch the biography video on the artist and put down all of our facts. Here is our slides.

Last week for music we had to research a New Zealand musician and a New Zealand band. The musician I chose was Stan Walker and the band I chose was Six60. Here is my research.

Today for music we had to listen and watch the song happier. Then we had to write about the song we just watched and listened to. Here is the link to the song and my writing.

Music Happier

Today it's my birthday. Everybody is running around and playing with their friends, but i'm just sitting here all alone while people gave me my presents.Before my dad game me a present he came out with the cake and I went to blow it out but then a girl came and blew them out. The first present is from my dad he got me a small red bow, so I put it back in the box for safe keeping. Then my dad came back with a puppy! I named the puppy Mello. I was so excited when Mello came, I could just feel my face light up with joy! As Mello and myself grew older my dad measured me and Mello every year. As Mello grew her beds and toys got bigger and bigger and bigger. When I grew into a teenager I started High School.

One day we had PE and we were playing Football. The coach chose two team captains and they then had to pick their teams. They picked their teams one by one but I was the last girl to be picked which made me very upset. The next day we had Football again and we had to take a team photo for the school. I was in the front with the ball but then the captains came up and stole the ball from me, so I went to the back of the group. The photographer told me to move closer to the group and smile. When I smiled everyone made fun of my braces, so I ran home crying. When I got home I ran inside and lay down on the couch but then Mello started scratching on the door do I let him in. When I saw him I smiled but then I covered my mouth because I was embarrassed, but Mello used his paw to put my hand down. I was happy with him so I tried to get his to spin but he just lay there so I knew something was wrong. I started to by Mello medication and hoped he could get better but he didn't.

One night I came home and Mello was lying on the on the ground almost lifeless so I called for my dad and we took Mello to the vet. When we got there the vet said he had some sort of sickness that they couldn't cure, I was so devastated.

Hurumanu Music

This week for Music we made simple sentences into complex sentences. When we were on the mat we worked on the sentence The dog sat on the log and we turned that into In the morning the dog sat on the spikey log by a lake uncomfortably because he lost his owner. Then there were three sentences we could choose from to make our own complex sentences. They were The music was loud, She played the guitar and He was singing. I chose She played the guitar. Here is my sentences.

1. She played the guitar.
2. She played the classical guitar.
3. Last night she played the classical guitar.
4. Last night, in her room she played the classical guitar.
5. Last night, in her room she played the classical guitar softly.
6. Last night, in her room she played the classical guitar softly because she was bored.

Overall making the simple sentences complex sentences was fun because you got to experience new words.

Hurumanu Music

This week we started new Hurumanu topics. The topics we had previously were Drama and Science. We now have Music and PE, we are working on music today. For today we had to answer questions about music like what music is and what it means. Everybody has a different opinion on music some people think one things and some people think other things. Here is my opinion on music.

What is music? What types are there? 
Music is a form of sound that can help us when we are feeling anything. Some different types of music are pop, jazz, rock, rap and country. 

Where can we find /hear/ experience music?
We can find/ hear music on a radio stations, youtube and apps on your devices like spotify. We can experience music wherever you like. (maybe not at school!)

What type of music do you like to make or listen to? 
I don't really make music but I like to listen to pop, rock and rap music.

What do you want to learn about / do in Hurumanu Music?
I want to learn about how to make my own music and I also want to do lots of singing.
