Today for community impact projects we are looking at picking up rubbish around Hornby then using the recyclable rubbish to make art. For example plastic animals or art sculptures. Here are some things we are doing.
In your own words, what is the project?
The project is picking up rubbish around the community and turning the rubbish into art.
What is the purpose?
The purpose of this task is to make the community cleaner and also make beautiful art to put around Hornby.
How much rubbish do you think we are going to collect? Why do you think that?
I think we are going to pick up a decent amount of rubbish because where ever I go in Hornby there is always rubbish.
What colours do you think we will see the most? Why?
I think we will find the colour silver the most because of the can's and chip packets and stuff like that.
What type of art would you like to create?
I would like to create an animal out of the rubbish like a dog or cat.
I am a student at in Uru MÄnuka. In 2020 I was a year 9 and in 2021 I will be a year 10. This is a place where I will be able to share my learning with you. Please note....some work won't be edited - just my first drafts, so there may be some surface errors. I would love your feedback, comments, thoughts and ideas.

ReplyDeleteNice job on this blog post and I like that you remembered to add an image. It really elevates the level of interest in your work.
I agree, I think there will be lots of silver rubbish because of chip and cracker packets also.
